remembering the 70"s

a friend called to see if we were available to create a cake for her and her husbands birthday party .....she mentioned that it was a 70's theme and if we had any ideas ....... she thought she may want a disco ball , but wanted to know what ideas we could come up with ....... so between the 3 of us , we came up with a disco ball...an old vintage vw van .... just the back of the van with the windows, curtains, and bumper stickers.... a platform shoe.... a "john travolta" jacket....a tie-dyed shirt ....etc. ...... so below you will find what we decided on ....... they were so much fun to make !!! the jacket was just about life size and the platform shoe was bigger than life size ...... it was a great party with much dancing , food and laughter !!! happy birthday julie and mike !!!
